Le Klint has created a shade guide so you can find the perfect shade for your Le Klint lamp. Find the shade guide on our website here.
-
A standard shade is made of a special foil, which means it can be cleaned with water since the surface is resistant to liquids. It is also fire-resistant and UV-resistant, ensuring a long product lifespan. The foil for the standard shade complies with the RoHS directive to ensure it does not contain prohibited or hazardous chemicals. Furthermore, it is produced in Europe and of very high quality. The foil can be recycled as PVC after its life as a lampshade, thus contributing to new products such as drainpipes and sewage pipes.
A paper shade can have an equally long lifespan if well taken care of, but it will patinate more quickly than the standard shade, taking on a slightly golden hue in its white color. Additionally, water should not be used for cleaning a paper shade; instead, a soft dust brush can be used to remove dust from the shade. The paper shade is made of 100% FSC-certified paper and is produced in Europe. The paper can be recycled as paper waste or simply burned in your own wood-burning stove, as it is entirely clean paper.
-
As described above, shades made of standard foil can be cleaned with a damp cloth or water. If necessary, a mild soapy solution can be used to remove stains. It is important to dry the shade immediately after cleaning with water to prevent watermarks. You may use demineralized water to avoid watermarks. For everyday maintenance, it is recommended to simply use a soft dust brush and, if needed, a lightly damp cloth.
-
Paper shades cannot tolerate the use of certain types of liquids as they will damage or dissolve the paper. Therefore, only use a soft cloth or a soft dust brush to remove dust from the shade. Alternatively, you can blow or gently shake off the dust.

On our website, you can always find information about the recommended light source under the specifications for the lamp itself. We strive to update the website with the latest light source recommendations based on the most recent technological standards. When you purchase your new Le Klint lamp, the recommended light source will also be indicated on a label on the box.
Our recommendations are based on the luminous flux, indicating how much light the bulb emits. The specified luminous flux is the right amount of light for the particular lamp. It is also possible to choose lower or higher luminous flux if desired. We recommend using LED bulbs. If you need advice on the right lighting for your home, our customer service and Le Klint partners are always ready to provide expert guidance.

You can find your instruction and assembly guide in the box with your new Le Klint lamp. You can also always find guidance on our website under the specifications for the lamp itself.

It is part of Le Klint's DNA and eco-friendly philosophy that our lamps should last for many years, even across generations. Therefore, we offer to perform repairs on most of our lamps, including discontinued models. A good example is the replacement of defective wooden parts on our popular Sax lamp. You can always purchase spare parts or a new lampshade for your lamp to extend its lifespan. If you want your lamp to be repaired, you are welcome to bring it to our stores or contact your local Le Klint Partner, who can assist you in the process.
