Harrit & Sørensen

Thomas Harrit and Nicolai Sørensen graduated from the Danish Design School in 1991. They have worked together since their first year.

Thomas and Nicolai run the Harrit-Sørensen design studio. They are best-known for their KNAX coat and hat rack, and the Green Light traffic signal, for which they were awarded the Danish Design Prize in 2000.

Harrit-Sørensen designed togther with Le Klint the Bee Hive lamp.

The lampshade is made from hand-folded paper and the frame is made from oiled light oak. Bee Hive is a lamp that exudes both luxury and minimalist elegance. The lamp’s materials and manufacture are in accordance with contemporary demand for sustainability, modest use of materials, long lifetime and the ability to be repaired if necessary.
