Peter Hvidt, Architect, 1916 - 1986
Peter Hvidt was founder and co-owner of the architect company Hvidt & Mølgaard.
The partnership of Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen and Peter Hvidt was a pioneering force in industrial furniture production and Danish furniture design in the 1950s.
Their architectonic idiom was light, clear and simple. Their building designs were thoroughly worked out to the smallest detail. These two architects have made their mark on the furnishings and interior design arena. Peter Hvidt is also best-known for the AX chair, designed for Fritz Hansen.
Hvidt's cooperation with Le Klint has also resulted in many lamp models.
Model 161
Hvidt & Mølgaard designed Model 161 in 1969. The lamp was launched under the Danish name Krystal.
This diamond shaped pendant has a distinctively crystalline form.
Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen, Architect, 1907 - 1993
Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen was the founder and co-owner of the architect company Hvidt & Mølgaard. Orla Mølgaard-Nielsen trained at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts for Furniture and Interior Design, Copenhagen.
Together with his partner Peter Hvidt, they worked in furniture and interior design, structural architecture and provided consultancy services in connection with major bridge construction projects. Mr Nielsen is best-known for the AX chair, designed for Fritz Hansen.
His cooperation with Le Klint resulted in many lamp models.
Model 152
This model was designed in 1962 by the architects Hvidt & Mølgaard. With its long, slim shape and characteristic plissé, the series quickly earned itself a nickname: Organ Pipe. Model 152 is available in two sizes. For a stunning effect, hang two side by side.
