The Lamella lamp series is designed by the duo Hallgeir Homstvedt and Jonah Takagi, based on earlier Le Klint models. The collection is inspired by the delicate curved lines on the underside of a mushroom cap, also known as lamellae. The pleated structure, combined with a soft yet precise silhouette, is characteristic of Lamella's design.
The combination of Le Klint's classic pleated craftsmanship and an old patented technique for shaping flat objects forms the base of the Lamella series. It's almost paradoxical, but nevertheless, this manufacturing method allows for the creation of a lamp design that hits the mark – both in line with the current trend of retro-inspired organic forms and the modern consumer's expectation for authentic design with a strong historical foundation.
The series is available in various shapes and sizes as pendants, ceiling, wall lamps as well as table and floor lamps. All lamps are made from the same quality material as the world-renowned hand-folded lampshades. Both the top and bottom of the lamp are complemented with stylish metal details in black, silver, or golden-colored aluminum.
