Robert Kasal

Designer

Robert Kasal worked in the office of Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard-Neilsen in the 1960s where he assisted in the development of several Le Klint models that went into production.

After returning to the United States he designed additional Le Klint lamp models under his own name.

Robert Kasal taught product design in the Department of Art & Architecture at Portland State University in Oregon for thirty years, and served as department chair.

He has written articles on design for newspaper and magazine publication, among them Dansk Kunsthaandvaerk and American Craft.

In retirement he turned to the study of Native American Art and served as research associate at the Museum of Indian Arts & Culture in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
